Ken Ulman announced in his final
Sate of the County that Howard County is forward-focused and vibrant, healthy
and nimble, and poised for future success. Sounds like an A+ report card!.
Lets take a second to enjoy those
refreshing words and take pride in what they mean.
Forward-focused – With initiatives
like 3D printing, our county is going to be the hotbed of technology innovation. One wonders which companies will come out of
our incubator initiatives to become the next Google , or HP.
Vibrant- The planned community of
Columbia has great plans on the horizon with the Inner Arbor and Cresent
projects. We are accomplishing the vision of James Rouse with amazing results.
Healthy – Our new bicycle plan will
create a connected community. With organizations like Healthy Howard, our school
systems are achieving results that will last a lifetime.
Nimble – Our broadband network
reaching every school in the county is able to deliver the future technologies
to our children at speeds that were once unimaginable.
Future Success – We have many county
officials waiting for your vote this fall to continue delivering success
stories like we have under Ken Ulman’s tenure
